“Take Home” books will be sent home weekly. Practice reading these books until you can read them fluently and return them to school. You can earn a small reward for returning the books and reading them to the teacher.
New word wall words are introduced on Monday, and you will be given a homework assignment to help you learn to read and spell these words. Parents: On the back of this homework, please record the total minutes read by your student. We expect students to read or be read to for at least 20 minutes everyday. Please finish and return this assignment by Friday of the same week.
A math worksheet will also come home every Monday.
Any homework that is not returned will be completed during afternoon recess on Friday. In case of a Friday holiday, homework will be due on Thursday.
